Jaguar, Serpent & Frog Tepi – Sacred Hapè Pipe with Visionary Eyes
£92.00
This remarkable handcrafted Amazonian Tepi pipe brings together three powerful guardians of the rainforest cosmology — the Frog Spirit, the Serpent of transformation, and the Jaguar of the night jungle, all surrounded by a constellation of watchful visionary eyes, colourful stones, and sacred crystalline elements.
Near the base of the pipe emerges the Frog Spirit, carved with spotted markings and a poised body that evokes the amphibian guardians of the rainforest. Across Amazonian traditions, frogs symbolise purification, cleansing, and renewal. They are creatures that live between water and land — worlds that mirror the shamanic understanding of reality existing between the visible and the invisible. Their presence in ceremonial tools reminds practitioners that the path of sacred medicines begins with clearing heavy energies and preparing the body and spirit for transformation.
Coiling along the body of the pipe is a powerful serpent figure, painted in deep crimson and golden tones, spiralling upward in a continuous movement of life force. In Amazonian cosmology the serpent is one of the most ancient spiritual archetypes, deeply connected with the Ayahuasca vine and the primordial intelligence of the forest. Shamans often describe visions of luminous serpents during ceremony — guardians of knowledge that guide the traveller through layers of consciousness and healing.
Within this serpentine energy emerges the face of the Jaguar, subtly integrated within the serpent’s flow. The Jaguar is one of the most sacred animals of the Amazon — the master of the night, protector of the jungle, and embodiment of fearless spiritual power. In many shamanic traditions the jaguar represents the ability to move between worlds, to walk in darkness without fear, and to access hidden knowledge. The presence of the jaguar within the serpent symbolises the fusion of instinct, transformation, and spiritual authority.
Surrounding these central figures are numerous small circular “eyes” crafted from colourful stones and crystal-like inlays. These eyes represent expanded perception — the awakening of inner sight that many shamans describe during sacred plant ceremonies. The forest itself is said to be alive with watching spirits and ancestral guardians, and these many eyes symbolise that living awareness.
Adding another layer of symbolism, the back of the pipe reveals two large feather motifs carved along the spine of the piece. Feathers represent connection with the spirit world, communication with higher realms, and the breath that carries sacred prayers. In Amazonian traditions feathers are powerful ritual objects used in healing, protection, and ceremonial invocation.
Together, the Frog’s cleansing wisdom, the Serpent’s transformative energy, the Jaguar’s spiritual power, and the feathers’ connection to the unseen realms create a ceremonial instrument that embodies the living mythology of the Amazon rainforest.
This Tepi is therefore far more than a pipe used to administer sacred Hapè — it is a symbolic bridge between the practitioner and the spirits of the forest, carrying the ancient language of animals, plants, and visionary awareness.
