Strength - 5/5
Deep within the lush forests of Acre, Brazil, the Kuntanawa - the Bush People - preserve the ancient ways of the vine and the leaf. From their lineage emerges Heart of Boa Rapé, a potent ceremonial blend rooted in shamanic wisdom and ancestral protection.
At its core lies Mapacho (also called Sabiá or Sabia), revered for its anchoring power and used as the foundation in countless Amazonian Hapé blends. This tobacco is expertly combined with Sapota tree ash, chosen for its subtle caress upon the nasal passages, opening sacred channels without overwhelm. But the true heart of this medicine is the Veia de Pajé vine - “Shaman’s Vein”, named for its heart-shaped leaves and serpent-like spirit, often called the “Heart of the Boa Constrictor” or “Jiboinha”.
The vine, with its serpentine roots in shamanic forests, is said to connect practitioners with ancestral snake energy - a force of transformation, intuition, and deep grounding. As the Kuntanawa explain, this medicine “keeps negative energies at bay and attracts the positive,” granting protection against jealousy, spiritual attack, and psychic intrusions.
Beyond its protective shield, Heart of Boa Rapé is a magnet for prosperity, abundance, and clarity. It is used in fertility and hunting rites, helping cultivate success, attract love, and build courage.
This Hapé is considered dense, deep, and reserved for advanced users - not for the faint of heart. It seamlessly works across the heart, third-eye, and crown chakras, weaving together emotional opening and higher vision. Physically, the Sapota ash soothes sinuses while the tobacco grounds - the result is a finely balanced yet powerful blend that supports energetic fortitude and deep internal alchemy.

In Kuntanawa cosmology, the boa snake is a guardian of thresholds - between safety and risk, earth and sky, seen and unseen. The Heart of Boa Rapé invites you to walk these liminal lines with boldness and receptivity. It doesn’t mask shadows - it illuminates them. It doesn’t dissolve protection - it sharpens it.
This medicine supports spiritual practitioners, hunters, herbalists, and ancestors alike. It empowers you to stand clear, magnetise positive energies, and trust in your own energetic boundaries. Its effect is a powerful energetic realignment - balancing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual layers of being.
Suggested Usage & Ritual Guidance:
For best results, use Rapé within a ceremonial or meditative setting, always approaching with respect and clear intention. Administer gently using a Handcrafted Amazonian Kuripe Self-Applicator for personal use or a traditional Tepi pipe if serving others. Begin with a modest quantity, gently blowing into each nostril. Allow the blend to settle calmly, breathing deeply and slowly. Sit quietly, focusing on your spiritual intention, and welcome the medicine’s powerful guidance. Ideal for regular ceremonial practice or occasional spiritual cleansing, Rapé harmoniously supports meditation, mindfulness, and personal growth journeys.

Usage and Rituals
The Rapé is blown first through the left nostril and then the right, the life and death cycle.
- Put a small amount of Rapé on the palm of your hand.
- Connect to the medicine through the heart, and feel your intentions.
- Fill the pipe (Kuripe) through the longer tube.
- Position the Kuripe: take a deep breath through the mouth and hold.
- Place the longer end of the Kuripe into the left nostril and the other end into the mouth.
- Blow inside the Kuripe pipe with intention.
- Repeat for the right nostril.
Now close your eyes and enjoy your meditation.
Once applied, breathe only from the mouth to prevent the powder from going into the throat. After at least 10 minutes you can blow and clean your nose.
Rapé must be blown into both nostrils. Each nostril represents an energetic current of the body:
The left nostril: The channel of the Moon (receiver: Pingala or Yin). It gives the power of emotions in its pure state, providing the qualities of deep joy, pure love, compassion and artistic abilities. This side is the feminine. The imbalances on this side are emotional attachment, depression, low self-esteem, guilt or laziness.
The right side: The channel of the Sun (emitter: Ida or Yang). It would empower the rational mind, which allows learning and gaining the strength to overcome problems through effort. It is the masculine side. The imbalances of this channel are rigidity, arrogance, excessive strength and pride.”
Storage
Rapé snuff can remain potent for years when kept in a cool, dry, and dark location. To maintain its quality, ensure your rapé is tightly sealed and protected from any form of moisture. It is not recommended to store rapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.
